Congratulations on the release of your book! Very commendable.

Now let's just get it translated into English and sent to this side of the ocean!

Jenny, that's just a gorgeous cover for your book! Congratulations to you as this volume gets printed, and believe me, if my wife and I could make it to the Mentanarhús for the signing, we would. -- Paul

Hey, Jennifer.
Thanks for posting all these pictures, they make me homesick! I grew up in the house right above yours in Fuglafjørður, the white one with a red roof. I'm currently studying in Aberdeen, Scotland.
I've been looking through many of your albums, and the pictures are great. You are brilliant at catching Fuglafjørð with the camera. Don't stop! The view of that sunrise is pretty much the view I grew up with, quite different from the grey buildings I have around me now.

We're having our first really chilly day of the year here in North Carolina, and your pictures of the snow made me shiver! I don't recall that you get too deep an accumulation, though, even in the dead of winter. Am I right about that? I'm trying to recall your posts from last season. The wandering geese, by the way, are a wonderful sight... I'm going to make sure my wife sees these.

Hehe, I always give up on the rain stopping... but I always think Nordragota has the worst weather in the Faroes.

All the best,
Elly - Petra's grandson (via Beinta) Sjurdur's girlfriend - we met once briefly at Petra's a couple of years ago - perhaps we'll see each other at a family gathering at Christmas? lol...

I especially like the first of these photos. What kind of camera are you using, Jenny? Whatever it is is serving you well!

Hello Jenny,

I am glad you had a safe trip back to the Faroe Islands even though you had such long waits in airports. I am glad you are able to keep in contact with us at home in the U.S. and share your experiences with us. I like the new color of your little house. The picture of the clouds is especially beautiful to me. Will you be getting a car on this trip? Our weather has turned a little warmer again--highs into the 80's.

Until next time,
Miriam
