Takk Fyri Jenny. This was a challenge but I got through it. It was a nice story too. And I guess there is still hope for me at 50 to learn Føroyskt.

I just had a conversation with my aunt today that I haven't talked to in many, many years. She is always afraid that her English will not be good enough so she never wants to talk. But this time a cousin convinced her that I could understand enough Faroese so she shouldn't worry. So when I called her on Skype she took my call. It was so great to hear her voice. Our conversation went something like your post. It was a mixture of English and Faroese. That is why I find this a funny post.
