   Her gongur fint Eg kom heim leygardagin fra skipid Eg var 4 vikur i North Sea vith a recue and standby ship. Eg fari avstad aftur 4 nov. og eri so vekk i 4 vikur.
   Masumi fer kanska til Japan sidst (late) sep. Her father will be 60 the 15. sep and they have party 29. sep I shall say hallo from her.

   Stumbled upon this site after someone posted a link on http://faroe-island.blogspot.com

   I’m enjoying reading your story and looking at the pics. (I’ve decided to read it from 2005 to the present, so don’t give away the ending.)

   Anyway, I just wanted to say “hi” and ask how hard it was to learn Faroese? I read that you took an intensive class. How’s it working for you two years on?

   The islands look beautiul. I hope to see them in person one day.
